Biography

Pep Bonet, Spanish born, studied photography in Amsterdam in 1997. His work focuses on long-term projects and the African continent and has led to several photography books and over 35 exhibitions worldwide. “Faith in Chaos”, a photo essay about the aftermath of the war in Sierra Leone is his most renowned work for which he was awarded the W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography in 2005. Bonet was selected as “Emerging Artist of the Year” in 2004 by American Photo Magazine Editor’s Choice and awarded a World Press Photo in 2009 for portrait stories.
