Alessandro Cosmelli is an Italian photographer based in New York. His series Borders-The Edge of America are images taken from the US side of its boundary with Mexico. The desolation mixed with technicolor beauty recall the scenes of Edward Hopper paintings. His assignments have taken him to Asia, Africa, Europe, America and the Middle East and have been published in leading international news magazines.In 2010, his photography book, OltreNero was selected as one of the ten best photography books by POY International.
